Tradition

Rooted in tradition and passionately engaged in search of true flavours. Jean Jaures (1859 – 1914)
The picturesque village “Turmbach” is located in the south of South Tyrol in the midst of vineyards and orchards. An old tower of the XIII century is built in the centre, and it represents the symbol of the village. It is part of an estate that since eight generations is a property of the Walcher family of Appiano, which has always been dedicated to the cultivation of land with respect for nature.
Every year the best grapes are used for the home wine production, and the most precious fruit is used to distil a very classy eau-de-vie.
Because of the particular climate, the fruit of the orchards and vineyards around Appiano has a unique and full flavour. The variations in temperature between night and day, the arid ground, the limestone and the sunny days give fruit an intense, pure and unmistakable flavour.
With an uncompromising quality policy the Alfons Walcher’s children follow the path taken by their father, increasing the “WALCHER” brand reputation.
